Imagine being on vacation sitting inside your vehicle in the middle of a building, surrounded by large coolers of more than 120 different brand of ice cold beer, wine, and beverages. Looking around you notice shelves filled with your favorite beach snacks and accessories. While relaxing in the comfort of your car, the Brew Thru car tenders will grab your items and help stock your coolers. This is all part of the Brew Thru experience. This experience came about in the mid-70's when Dana and Becky Lawrentz, originally from Ohio, decided to open a drive-through store on the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
Spending five summers in the Outer Banks, I would pass at least one Brew Thru daily. A corky and unique place with a dated brand identity. When getting back into the fall semester of college, we were asked to rebrand a product or company. I couldn't think of a better place to begin. I wanted to keep a type face logo with a touch of illustration. I strived to keep the corkiness of the brand while incorporating a more modern look.
